Directional Signs: what's included

Directional Signs help guide traffic flow into the property and to the proper exit — specified to the ADA visual standard, provided, and installed anywhere in Arkansas.

Directional signage is how a driver finds your entrance and how a visitor finds the way out. Under the ADA, signs that give direction to or information about a space are treated as visual signs rather than tactile ones — so they must meet the contrast, finish, and character requirements, but the material and color are still yours to choose. We design the set, specify it, provide it, and install it. The Seiz Team is a statewide Arkansas provider — 118 years and counting.

Frequently asked questions

Good to Know
No. Signs that provide direction to, or information about, a space are treated as visual signs, not tactile ones. Only signs identifying permanent rooms and spaces — restrooms, room numbers and names, floor numbers, and exits — have to be tactile with braille.
The visual requirements: a non-glare finish, contrast between the copy and its background, upper or lower case but never italic or script, and character heights from 5/8 inch to 3 inches. Beyond that, the color and material are yours to choose.
Yes. Our graphics department works from your brand colors and existing sign package so a new directional set reads as part of the same system. For outdoor sets we specify UV-resistant inks on ACM or aluminum; indoors we use matte finishes to avoid glare under overhead lighting.
